VSU :: How to Apply

Voronezh State University accepts applications from international students for degree and non-degree courses in all departments. International students may also apply for accommodation in University dormitories within Voronezh.

International students who are already registered at a foreign university, or who have already graduated from a foreign university, can apply for placement on our special student non-degree courses, designed specifically for international students seeking Russian language or other subject practice at Voronezh State University. Applications should be made directly to the departments required, by email or telephone.

International students seeking language practice can apply to the Institute of International Education. The Institute offers a variety of classes covering topics related to Russian language, culture, history and society.

International students who seek a degree from Voronezh State University must apply directly to the department required.

Admission Procedures

Voronezh State University has a special unit, The Institute of International Education (IIE), which provides training for international students and promotes a wide spectrum of VSU educational programmes.

We can offer you the following courses and levels of education:

• Pre-university training
• Bachelor’s programme
• Specialist’s programme
• Master’s programme
• Post-graduate training
• Short-term courses
• Summer Language School

To come to Voronezh State University you must send us:

• Application form (via Internet, Fax or by mail)
• Copy of your passport (via Fax or by mail)
• Notarised copy of the completed secondary education (via Fax or by mail)
• Medical certificate certifying absence of medical contraindications for study (via Fax or by mail)

After receiving all necessary documents the International Relations Department will make you an official invitation and send it to the address that was indicated in your application form. Admittance to the University is on the basis of a contract. If you need the contract form in order to get a visa at the Russian Federation Embassy, please let us know. If you do not, the contract form can be printed upon arrival. The contract includes only the tuition fee (the fee depending on the programme and speciality that you have chosen). The contract does not include any accommodation fee, medical insurance, or registration fee. The student must pay all fees related to the contract, accommodation, registration and medical insurance no later than 3 days after arrival.
