The Faculty of Mathematics, functioning as an independent faculty since 1969, is a highly successful unit, carrying out internationally recognized research. We currently have 699 (554 full-time and 145 part-time) undergraduates as well as 29 postgraduates. The faculty has 67 academic staff, including 62 doctors and professors. We also employ the total of 29 additional research and support staff. Our students benefit from research and computing facilities and other resources. The faculty is closely associated with such research units as: Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Simulation of Complex Nonlinear Processes and Structures laboratory.
