On 8th–9th November, YouLead’2014 Second Annual Forum for Young Leaders took place at Voronezh State University. Over 350 energetic students came together to develop their personal and professional characteristics and learn how to find their calling while also adopting the best practices of famous people. The event was organized by the AISEC youth organization.
On the first day, there was an "I have a dream" discussion held in the auditorium of the main VSU building. After the lunch break, the students did a quiz offered by the "Alternativa" company, "Oxford Language Centre", "Metro", and others. Ilya Polovinkin, a business coach, gave a talk called "Where choices lead". The participants were told about the "Live Bright" and "Velovoronezh" projects, as well as the AIESEC organization, VSU Student Council, and "Prometheus" students' computer team. During the first-day closing ceremony, online competition winners were handed their awards.
The second day gave the young people an opportunity to become not only listeners, but also active participants in the event. Artem Syomka – chairman of VSU Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics Students' Council – shared his success story with the audience.
– Choosing one of the three programmes – LEAD, My Career, or My Business – the young leaders were able to gain the practical knowledge and skills necessary for implementing their ideas and working in various fields: business, non-profit organizations, social innovations, large corporations, PR manager of YouLead’2014 forum Julia Odinets said.
The last training session was conducted by Galina Volgach – Voronezh branch manager of "Beagle" recruiting company. She pointed out the main idea of the "From Thought to Action" forum. At the closing ceremony, the most active students were awarded prizes.
