On 17th December, a festive evening was held for interns from Great Britain, Germany, Spain, China, the USA, and Estonia, at the Institute of International Education's Department of the Russian language for international students.
The event was celebratory, but it was also to say goodbye to the interns from Great Britain, Germany, the USA, and Estonia, who had completed a semester's course at Voronezh State University. Head of the Department Viktor Koprov awarded all the interns with the certificates of completing internships majoring in the Russian language.
At the party, Father Frost – an American student from Baylor (Mabbit Josepf Allen) and the Snow Maiden – an Estonian student from Tartu (Joseph Johanna) handed out small presents to those interns and teachers who sang songs, recited poems, or took part in acting out part of "The Cherry Orchard" a play by Anton Chekhov. The atmosphere at the party was truly warm and friendly, and the students expressed words of gratitude to the university and their teachers.
