From 22nd–24th December, as part of the actively developing collaboration between Voronezh State University and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), Professor A. Rachinskiy – a historian and a linguist – delivered a series of public lectures on the topic "Russia and France: the cultural interaction experience". This was devoted to the historical and cultural contacts between Russia and France in the XVIII–XX centuries.
The lectures were attended by the students and staff of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, the Faculty of Philology, and the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology. This is not the first time Professor A. Rachinskiy has visited Voronezh State University. The lectures were held at a high methodological level, and the topics under consideration aroused a lot of animated discussions.
Nowadays, in the challenging times of growing confrontation between different states, such meetings are incredibly important because they are essentially a manifestation of an ongoing cultural dialogue and positive cooperation.
