On September 30, the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, and the Department of Theory of Translation and Intercultural Communication, celebrated International Translation Day.

Associate professor Svetlana Lukina congratulated the students on behalf of the Union of Translators of Russia, and Prof. Natalia Fenenko told them about the outstanding translators – VSU graduates.

The celebration continued with the students' performances after which all the students took an oath to follow the path set by St. Jerome of Stridonium, a Catholic priest, confessor, theologian, historian, and the Bible translator who is considered the patron saint of translators.
