On 5 October, a free workshop regarding the preparation of documents for obtaining the status of the Skolkovo foundation project participants was organized in the main building of Voronezh State University. It was supported by the Voronezh regional branch of the national non-governmental organisation of small and medium enterprises "Opora Rossii". The workshops for the participants were held by the representatives of the companies participating in the Skolkovo foundation projects: Chairman of the Management Board of AP IKT VO and Director General of OOO Larus Vladimir Zhuravlev, and senior research associate of the specialist software development team of TsIR OAO NTTs REB and Director General of OOO "Samotsvet Innovation Centre" Nickolay Samotsvet. They shared their experience of implementing the projects that obtained the support of the Foundation.
The seminar was attended by representatives of over ten companies operating in the area of information and communication technologies, as well as the staff members, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of VSU and other universities of Voronezh. Among the guests were the partners of the university, such as the EFKO group of companies, OOO "Neftekhimproekt Kosmos-Neft-Gas", etc.
The information concerning the specific features of preparing applications for the status of a Skolkovo project participant, as well as microgrants and grants, aroused great interest of the audience. The undergraduate and postgraduate students and scholars had an opportunity to get relevant information on implementing their own developments and expanding projects by obtaining the support of the largest Russian foundation.
Following the results of the event, a number of companies based in the Voronezh and Lipetsk Regions expressed their willingness to collaborate with Voronezh State University scholars in this area. In the near future, there are plans for a series of working meetings and consultations aimed at discussing the opportunities and prospects for collaboration in the field of innovation.
These workshops are elements of a system of measures taken by the VSU Department of Innovations and Enterprise Management in order to discover, popularize, and support innovative projects in partnership with the leading companies of the Central Black Earth Region. Voronezh State University is a partner of the IT-CHERNOZEMYE competition of innovative projects and also one of the founders of the "INNOVATIONS OF THE BLACK EARTH REGION" interregional cluster. In addition, VSU takes an active part in the "Innovations Cup" regional competition of innovative projects, and organizes its own university competition, which this year was called "The VSU Start-up Factory".
