International students learn more about Russian films

On 17 October, the third session of Cinema Club VSU was held as part of the 'Buddy Club' project. Among the participants of the event were students from Austria, Mexico, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Russia. Most of them watched a film in Russian for the first time.

Cinema Club VSU is an International Cooperation Administration's project aimed at helping international students study Russian films.

This club meeting was dedicated to the film "Sharpshooter". It is not easy for some international students to watch and understand films in Russian that is why International Student Exchange Office staff decided to show movies with Russian subtitles.

The film was followed by an informal discussion of the key themes and issues.
