In October, a Memorandum of understanding and an additional agreement for academic cooperation and exchange programmes between Voronezh State University and BIMTECH Birla Institute of management technology (Birla, India) were signed.
The Memorandum stipulates several forms of cooperation: exchange of bachelor's and master's students doing Management programmes, research partnership between academic staff and the institutions as a whole, student programmes aimed at studying Russia and India, joint research conferences, academic and culture workshops.
The additional agreement describes in detail possibilities offered to students and academic staff as a result of cooperation between the universities. It stipulates a semester exchange of master's students and academic staff teaching and doing research in the "Management" speciality. Exchange students will have introductory sessions during which they will learn about the university, the city and the necessary requirements.
Our teachers will give lectures in the partner university, take part in research projects, conferences, workshops and developing of joint academic and research initiatives.
It is worth mentioning that cooperation between VSU and Birla Institute of management technology has lasted for a few years. The universities have been partners within the UNIQUE project aimed at advancing international cooperation and exchange, improving higher education in the partner countries, and consulting of international services and students willing to study in Europe on their choice of European universities.
Moreover, Birla Institute of management technology is a member of the Consortium (founded in 2007) of VSU partner universities implementing a joint Master's programme "Business in the Emerging Markets".
