On November 11th, a workshop "Cooperation prospects in the area of nanotechnology between the Russian and EU research centres and industries" was held at Voronezh State University. The workshop was attended by VSU research groups, as well as by representatives of the RPE Innovations and Development Agency, industrial and construction enterprises of the Voronezh Region, and researchers from other universities in Voronezh. The invited expert at the workshop was Artyom Balyakin, Head of the Department of scientific and technical programmes and projects at the NRC "Kurchatov Institute" and Head of the Russian Nanotechnology NCP.
Sergey Turischev, Dr.habil. in Physics and Mathematics, made a report about the studies in nanotechnology conducted at VSU and the main results obtained. Ivan Muraviev of the Stroyinpromtech company suggested some ways of applying the new technologies in the construction industry. The workshop was moderated by Associate professor Roman Savenkov.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of our researchers taking part in the EU framework programme Horizon 2020, and the documents required to participate in competitions in the sphere of nanotechnology, materials and industrial technologies within this programme.
