Between November 9th and 11th, students of the Faculty of International Relations took part in the XΙV International Youth Forum "Yaroslavl International Model United Nations 2015" held at Yaroslavl State University. Taking part were international as well as Russian students. Among them was a team of 13 VSU students of the Faculty of International Relations.
This year, the Forum included three sessions, each discussing the most urgent issues in international relations. The Security Council discussed ways of putting an end to the conflict in Yemen, the General Assembly considered the problem of acquisition and distribution energy resources (both renewable and not), while the Human Rights Council focused on the problem of human rights in the era of rapidly developing information technologies. VSU students took part in all three sessions.
The Forum resulted in the adoption of three resolutions. The best delegates at each session were chosen. Among the best were VSU fourth-year students Alexey Oroshanu and Vera Oroshanu, who participated actively in the discussions. For Alexey Oroshanu this was not the first time. Last year, he was also awarded a certificate as the best delegate of the General Assembly at "Yaroslavl International Model United Nations 2014".
