Every year Voronezh State University participates in various international partnership programmes with leading world universities and companies, students' and academic staff exchange programmes, and world expertise exchange.
Another group of VSU students have just returned from Estonia where they took part in an exchange programme with the University of Tartu. They are happy to share their impressions of their internship.
'The internship in the University of Tartu was very interesting: The teachers tried to use various materials and teaching techniques. For example, one of the classes was dedicated to national cuisine and students from different countries presented their national dishes and offered the rest of the class to taste them. Tartu's teachers are friendly, helpful and optimistic' said a fourth year student of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology Anna Titei.
'As for extra curricular activities, I had a chance to join Tartu University football team comprised of foreign students studying at the University. As a team member I participated in the City Mini Football Competitions. I also visited Tallinn, ESN Estonia Football Cup - a tournament between teams of foreign students from Tartu and Tallinn,' said a fourth year student of the Faculty of Biology and Soil Sciences Leonid Semenov.
Taisia Meshcheryakova, a fourth year student of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, shared her impressions. 'The University of Tartu has a youth organisation ESN that takes control of the students' leisure activities, so there is no chance to be bored. Every week ESN representatives organise different events: such as Estonian national parties, Russian national parties, song competitions, linguistic cafes, where students can learn about various languages, Halloween and free sightseeing tours to Tallinn'.
