Developing collaboration with Spanish Universities has been of great importance for Voronezh State University. For example, the University supports academic mobility programmes for students and teachers developed with the University of Leon, the University of Granada and King Juan Carlos University, Madrid.
At the beginning of the year a student of Law Faculty of Voronezh State University Irina Nainodina returned from an international internship in King Juan Carlos University, Madrid.
'The course comprises three types of work: participating in lectures, individual work with a tutor and independent work on the University web-site or in the library.
The University of Madrid pays special attention to independent work: owing to the spacious and comfortable library and free access to modern library funds you can not only get information required for a basic course but also expand your knowledge reading more books on the subject,' said the VSU student.
In her opinion, King Juan Carlos University students spend more time studying on their own compared to Russian students. They create work teams and discuss and create class projects.
'The University has well developed extra-curricular activities for students. There is a special organisation for exchange students – International Exchange Erasmus Student Network. Senior students work as volunteers and organise walking sightseeing tours around Madrid and bus tours to the neighbouring towns of Spain. The volunteers, who are always very active and creative, are ready to help with any problems foreign students might come across,' said Irina Nainodina.
