Career in IT

On 19th March, the Centre of Career Development of Voronezh State University in collaboration with a university's strategic partner the company SAP CIS presented a lecture on Career in IT in the auditorium of the main building of Voronezh State University.

The lecture was given by Sergei Kupriyanov – a universities' cooperation programmes manager of Universitetskiy Alians SAP (University Alliance SAP) for students of all faculties and journalists eager to get new skills and enhance their competitiveness in the labour market. In his presentation he told students about tendencies in the IT industry and about the world's technological trends as well as the way they influence the employment world and the lifestyle of modern society. He also explained what IT market model is and how it works and demonstrated it by the example of SAP ecosystem – how market players interact and what the career possibilities for young specialists are.

Demonstration of the Career Navigator attracted a lot of interest among students. It is a portal that the company SAP has developed to guide students in the world of professions and to help them understand what competences and personal qualities are required in the labour market for a specified occupation and, what is more important, to give them recommendations on how to improve their corresponding competencies.
