Every year Voronezh State University participates in various international partnership programmes with world leading universities and companies, and as a result implements student and academic staff exchange programmes, and world expertise exchange.
A fifth year student of the Faculty of History Tatiana Bascheva has just completed an exchange programme in Tartu Ülikool (Estonia). She told us about her feelings and impressions:
"Tartu is a nice homelike town. You only need to visit it once to keep it in your heart forever.
I studied at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and did the Economics programme which included the following courses: Teams in organisations, General quality management, the Italian language, and Introduction to academic English for exchange students. During the term the young people wishing to start their own business can take part in specialised training organised by the Head of the Business Ideas Laboratory. The training provides information on how to start your own business, where to get finances, how to build your team, and how to get an expert evaluation. As a result three other students and I started our own project «Work4me». This is a job search application. At the end of the term our project was presented at the national competition "Kaleidoscope".
The ESN (Erasmus Student Network) team helped us break out of the academic routine. The very first day they provide exchange students with information about cultural events in the town and also organised various activities. I had a chance to work as a photographer during an Erasmus social week.
A term at the University of Tartu is a wonderful opportunity to experience another educational system, brush up your English, take up a new foreign language, make new friends, and contribute to the extracurricular activity of the student community of your own university.
