On 9 November, a vacancy fair for the senior students of sciences and technical faculties was held in the auditorium of the main building of Voronezh State University.

The event was opened by Marina Tscherbakova , the Head of the Centre for Career Development at VSU.

‘Our centre is aimed at helping students and graduates to find their place in the professional world and to learn how to plan their career and to achieve their goals. We offer information, consulting, and career guidance which are designed to help students to adapt to the contemporary labour market, to acquire self-presentation skills, and to establish good relations with their employers.

Representatives of the Molodezhnyi employment centre told the participants about problems of the regional labour market and demonstrated a comparative table describing workforce supply and demand on the labour market of the Voronezh region. For example, 36 law vacancies have 252 applicants, and 32 vacancies in economics have 331 applicants, whereas there are only 12 people who would like to fill one of 95 available vacancies for medical assistants. Staff members of the Kamelot newspaper, one of the leading newspapers of the region explained how their job search website functions.

The company Atos is an international leader in the area of digital services and an IT-partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. It offers opportunities to start a career, to develop quickly within the company, and to participate in innovative projects. The company guarantees official employment and offers scholarships during the training period. Knowledge of foreign languages is absolutely compulsory for those who would like to work for Atos.

The agricultural company Efko offers a comfortable and modern work environment, guaranteed career development, and a good salary.
