On March 5th, the Faculty of economics held a teleconference for students specialising in HR management of four universities: Voronezh State University, Moscow Technological University, Kazan Federal University, and Orel State Technical University.
The conference was held in the form of a business game. The participants were to analyse the performance of the staff of a non-existent tourist agency "Jumanji". Students of the Moscow Technological University played the role of the staff, and all the others were experts. By the terms of the game, the company had to win new market segments in order to survive in the given political and economic conditions. One of the development areas was the development of inner tourism, which included opening a new department and hiring more employees.
The expert were following the activities of the "staff" in real-time mode, pointing out the benefits and drawbacks of the measures taken, accessing the efficiency of the staff members, determining the ways to improve the situation and find better solutions.
All the participants of the conference said that it was both very interesting and useful.
