Our university takes part in the National Masters Swimming Championship: three starts – three victories

Between 1st and 3rd April, XXV Jubilee Masters Swimming Championship was held in Penza. Our staff member of the Faculty of Physics of Voronezh State University Yury Perin, the authorised representative of the Russian Swimming Federation, took part in the event. He supervised compliance with the rules of the international swimming federation FINA and registered national, European and world records.

During the ceremonial parade, he was awarded a gold jubilee medal of the XXV National Championship and an honorary certificate for his participation and valuable contribution to Masters movement development in Russia. Moreover, Yury Perin received a commemorative prize for his victory in a photo contest for the 2015 Kazan National Masters Championship photo report.

Additionally, the VSU representative competed in the event and again brought victories to his university and city. He came first in all distances (50, 100, and 200-meter backstroke). He also won the first prize as part of the Voronezh team "Spartak" in the 4x50-meter medley relay, and the third prize in a 4x50 free style medley.
