A university lecturer wins an Oxford University Press contest

A lecturer of the Department of English language for Sciences Faculties of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of Voronezh State University Marina Pankratova has become one of the six winners of the world-known contest Headway Scholarship held annually by Oxford University Press.

According to the contest requirements every participant had to describe how Headway textbooks help students to improve their level of English, and teachers to improve their teaching skills. Marina Pankratova explained how she uses the textbook when teaching students with advanced level of English at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, she also said a few words about the students and the team of teachers.

The contest prize is a trip to England where the VSU lecturer will have a chance to complete a two week advanced training programme for English teachers at the oldest British University – University of Oxford.
