On 8 April, Sofia Novikova, a third year student of the Psychological and Pedagogical Education programme (Psychology for special needs and special needs education), and Irina Petrova, a participant of the "Psychological and Pedagogical Club for Schoolchildren" organised by the Department of Pedagogy and Pedagogical Psychology, took part in the event "A free hour for parents with children with development disorders". The event is carried out as a part of the programme of art therapeutic rehabilitation implemented in the Voronezh Rehabilitation Centre for Children and Teenagers, Parus Nadezhdy.
Under the supervision of Galina Shevtsova, an experienced educational psychologist, the parents of children with development disorders learnt how to make soap, and the children took part in an art therapeutic workshop using sand therapy techniques. As a result, the children, with the help of volunteers, made postcards using the marbling technique - a method of aqueous surface design and the parents made soap. The regional centre Parus Nadezhdy thanked all the volunteers who helped to implement the project.
