Classes at the Childhood Development Centre as a part of educational process at the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology

On 15 April, third year students of the Psychological and Pedagogical Education programme (Psychology for special needs and special needs education) of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology of Voronezh State University visited Childhood Development Centre – Kindergarten № 188. The Centre has had groups for children with ICP, Down syndrome, and other development disorders for over 20 years. The visit was conducted as an additional class within the discipline “Psychological peculiarities of development, guidance and learning of children with motor disorders” at the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology. (Lecturer – Olga Ivanova).

An educational psychologist, Klavdia Kaverina, and a pre-school teacher, Natalia Maximova, told the students about the peculiarities of cooperation between different specialists conducting intervention programmes for children with ICP. A senior pre-school teacher, Svetlana Mezhova, talked in detail about cooperation between different specialists conducting intervention and educational programmes for children with development disorders, and a deputy head of the Centre, Irina Valikova, explained the importance of material resources for the educational activity of the kindergarten.
