At the beginning of his visit Jörg Becker, met the rector of the university, Dmitry Endovitsky. Among other participants of the meeting was the dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Mechanics, Professor Alexandre Shashkin.

Dmitry Endovitsky welcomed the guest and told him about the main achievements of the Voronezh State University in 2015:

'In 2015, VSU was recognised as the best innovative university of the Voronezh region. We continue to carry out innovative projects in cooperation with leading regional enterprises. We also continue to develop international cooperation.’

Dmitry Endovitsky also told the guest about a software and methodological platform for distance learning of Russian as a foreign language developed within the framework of the academic project "Russian Virtual Class" implemented by the laboratory for new educational technologies of the VSU International Education Institute. The basis for the distance learning is a language-oriented interactive study guide simulator "Ruso сomunicativo. Russian for Communication". It provides students with the most user-friendly tools for self-learning of Russian outside the language environment. Originally the platform was developed for Spanish-speaking students and it was presented in Madrid in February 2016. Dmitry Endovitsky suggested adjusting the platform for the students of Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster wishing to learn Russian. Jörg Becker highly praised the development by Voronezh State University and expressed interest in using it for students in Germany.

After that followed the meeting of the Department of ERP Systems and Business Process Management of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Mechanics, chaired by the head of the department Jörg Becker. During the meeting, the participants discussed issues relating to the functioning of the department and listened to reports from the academic staff members about the 2015/2016 academic year.

Additionally, the programme for Jörg Becker's visit to VSU included a meeting with the head of the Information Technology Administration, Alexey Prokhorchenko. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the issues of modernisation and development of the official website of Voronezh State University.
