On 19 May, the 18th bibliographical readings were held in Voronezh State University Regional Scientific Library. The event was dedicated to a book collection by Oleg Lasunsky, which can be found in the rare books section of the library. Among the participants of the meeting were staff from Voronezh State University, the university libraries of Voronezh, and representatives of Nikitin Regional Scientific Library.
The academic secretary of the Council of Rectors of the Voronezh region, Vladimir Listengarten, welcomed the participants of the event and read the address of VSU Rector, Professor Dmitry Endovitsky, who emphasized the importance of the gifts by Oleg Lasunsky to education. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the scientist, teacher, book collector, local history expert, honoured worker of culture, and honorary citizen of Voronezh. In his welcoming speech, Vladimir Listengarten paid a lot of attention to the role of Oleg Lasunsky in the cultural life of the university, the city, and the region as a whole. He also wished the collector a long healthy life and new achievements.
As is traditional, the readings were concluded with a talk by Oleg Lasunsky, who told the audience about the meetings of the Moscow club “Bibliographical beehive” (2015–2016) and presented the university library with memos of the club meetings. At the end of his presentation, Oleg Lasunsky donated about a hundred rare books to the library.
