Soon after a victory at the Voronezh Universiade, rugby players from Voronezh State University brought another victory to their alma mater. On 21 May, the Rugby Sevens Universiade between universities of the Central Black Earth region among men from the 2015-2016 academic year took place at the Buran stadium. The other competitors had no chance to win – VSU’s rugby players beat their closest opponents from Tver with the score 29:5, and the bronze winners from the Moscow region with the score 68:0.

As a result, the prizes were awarded as follows: absolute winners  of the competitions – the team from VSU (Voronezh), second place was taken by the team from Tver State Technical University, and third place was taken by the State Social and Humanitarian University (Kolomna).
