New swimming pool – new sport’s records

VSU Swimming Pool is the first and only swimming pool in the Voronezh region that received a standard measurement protocol for swimming lanes’ length. The measurement showed that the length of the lanes is within the requirements of the Federation Internationale De Natation Amateur (FINA), i.e. 25 meters (minus 0, plus 20 mm).

Currently, VSU swimming pool is the only swimming pool in the Voronezh region that has a system of electronic time-tracking and computer-aided record of results and a protocol for swimming lanes’ length. The document is prerequisite for awarding sport categories (Candidate Master of Sports and Master of Sports) and registering of national, European and world records. Moreover, now VSU swimming pool can be included in the National Register of Sports Venues and apply for the right to hold competitions of various levels.
