Voronezh animation artists became the winners of the Gruo international film festival in Seoul with their animated movie “Wolves and sheep” presented in the best Kids Film nomination. This year about 100 films from 40 countries were presented at the festival. Our animation movie competed with six others – from Mexico, the USA, Japan, Germany, Turkey, and Korea. Here is what they told us at Wizart Animation studio:
“We’ve been working on this film for over five years. We wanted the make a story about a wolf turning into a sheep, a story that would be kind, funny, and would teach something good. Initially, there were two people working on the project, and by the end, there were over 200. We managed to build up an international team, which allowed us to make our film interesting for a large international audience”, – said the general producer Yury Moskvin.
“Wolves and sheep” has already been released in Russia, the CIS countries, the Baltic countries, as well as in the Middle East, Mongolia, Turkey, and Romania. The film’s sequel is due to be finished by 2018.
