On 9 October, the Rector of Voronezh State University, Dmitry Endovitsky, and Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Services, Larisa Korobeinikova, had a meeting with Mikhail Frolov, the Head of Voronezh branch of AO PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit that belongs to the PricewaterhouseCoopers international network.
The participants of the event discussed prospects of cooperation between the university and the company.
“Starting with this year, we would like to be more actively engaged in the educational process. We are planning to start working with students from the second year of their studies,” said Mikhail Frolov.
Dmitry Endovitsky emphasised that that can become a good motivation for students to do a master’s degree. Mikhail Frolov told the rector about an opportunity to launch a contest of students’ projects which can become another area of cooperation.
“Students will present their innovative projects in different areas to the expert committee from PricewaterhouseCoopers. The company will judge the entries and choose the best. Such practice will allow to check what skills and knowledge the students acquired and also to see how creative they are and if they are able to develop a project. The contest can also offer more recruiting opportunities for the company,” said Dmitry Endovitsky.
Voronezh State University and PricewaterhouseCoopers have been partners for many years. For example, the university has a corporative master’s programme “International Audit”. Every year, VSU students receive PricewaterhouseCoopers scholarships and get an opportunity to do practice training in the Voronezh office of the company.
