On 8 November, nanoindustry qualification certificates were awarded in the White hall of Voronezh State University. Nine specialists from the Department of Solid-State Physics and Nanostructures and the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics at the Faculty of Physics passed the independent assessment and received the status of experts of the examination centre. Now, they can evaluate new applicants.
The Rector of VSU, Dmitry Endovitsky, opened the ceremony. He said that independent qualification evaluation has become an important employment instrument helping to assess the professional training of applicants.
The Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Oleg Ovchinnikov, the Head of the Department of Solid-State Physics and Nanostructures, Evelina Domashevskaya, and the Head of the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics, Evgeny Bormontov, gave welcoming speeches.
The examination centre for the independent assessment of nanoindustry qualifications was created at the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics of the Faculty of Physics in 2018. In 2019, the first examination was held at the VSU's Internet Centre within a pilot project aimed at the integration of state examinations with instruments of the independent assessment of qualifications “Starting a Career”.
“Considering the fact that from 2020 the independent assessment of qualifications is to become obligatory for state research-intensive enterprises it is important and logical that Voronezh State University was chosen as a platform for the examination centre,” said the Head of the VSU examination centre, Dmitry Zhukalin.
