University student team wins the “What? Where? When?” championship cup

On 10 November, thirty two teams competed for the Cup of the Chizhov Gallery Centre. A version of the TV programme “What? Where? When?” was held in the Chizhov Gallery Centre.

The organisers had prepared for the competitors three rounds six questions each: a lightning round, a “black box” round, and a haiku round. The team of VSU became the winner of the tournament.

“It felt as if I was back in 2000’s. The questions reminded me a lot of the televised version of those years. Now, the questions for the sport version of the game are worded in a different way: the teams can use indirect signs to choose the correct answer from several similar alternatives. The questions were not difficult, it was difficult to choose the correct version. The game worked out well for us and each player contributed to our victory,” said the captain of the team of Voronezh State University, Alexey Proshin.
