The university folk music group “Terem” is a laureate of a national festival

The folk music group “Terem”, which has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, took part in two major cultural events in January.

Between 17 and 19 January, 2nd National Falk Festival “Following the Christmas Star” took place in Yelets. It consisted of creative laboratories, concerts, and communication between different teams. The folk music group “Terem” (under leadership of Galina Khristova) presented Southern Russian singing traditions. Among other participants of the event were the other best teams from different regions of Russia: Moscow, Volgograd, Stavropol, Lipetsk, Kursk, Saratov, the Leningrad region, the Rostov region, and the Pskov region.

On 19 January, the folk music group “Terem” took part in the 11th Christmas folk festival that took place at the Voronezh Cultural Centre. About twenty folk teams created a united performance dedicated to Christmas traditions.
