VSU is included in the University Impact Rankings 2020

On 22 April, the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine published the University Impact Rankings 2020. The universities were evaluated by their contribution to the agenda for sustainable development set by the United Nations. Voronezh State University has been included in the rankings for the second year in a row.

The experts of the project highly praised the contribution of our university to environmental protection, economic stability, innovations, and infrastructure, efficient use of resources, creation of a tolerant community, and gender equality. In general, VSU's parameters are as follows:

  • SDG 1 no poverty (101–200 position)
  • SDG 3 good health and well-being (401–600 position)
  • SDG 4 quality education (401–600 position)
  • SDG 5 gender equality (301–400 position)
  • SDG 6 clean water and sanitation (201–300 position )
  • SDG 7 affordable and clean energy (101–200 position)
  • SDG 8 decent work and economic growth (101–200 position)
  • SDG 9 industry, innovation, and infrastructure (201–300 position)
  • SDG 10 reduced inequalities (301–400 position)
  • SDG 11 sustainable  cities and communities (301–600 position)
  • SDG 12 responsible consumption and production (201–300 position)
  • SDG 13 climate action (201–300 position)
  • SDG 15 life on land (101–200 position)
  • SDG 16 peace, justice, and strong institutions (101–200 position)
  • SDG 17 partnership for the goals (401–600 position).

“Improving the welfare of the world population and the environmental protection are among our priorities. Who can know better than the leading university in the Black Earth Region how to solve many of the issues in the area of education, healthcare, social security, employment, climate change, and environmental protection. VSU the heart of the Research and Education Centre of the Voronezh Region, has been dealing with these problems for many years,” said VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
