The Urait.Statistics research team have analysed the dynamics of digitizing professional education in Russian regions and presented their National Ranking of online activity among universities and colleges. According to the ranking, Voronezh State University is in the lead among universities of the Voronezh region. It takes 19th place in terms of the rates of digitizing education in the Central Federal District. It also takes 63rd position in the federal ranking.
The digital activity criteria involves varied types of educational activities on the “Urait” educational platform:
- Reading, reviewing, and discussing texts.
- Watching educational videos and completing video tasks.
- Listening to tracks and completing tests.
- Interaction between students and teachers.
The high rates demonstrated by the university are the results of the well-coordinated work of supervisors, teachers, and librarians aimed at the transition to digital education.
The authors of the ranking studied the digital activities of over 150 thousand students and 277 thousand teachers who had use the service. According to the analysis: the institutions of professional education in the Voronezh region have been quite successful in the process of digital transformation.
Also, the Urait educational platform has launched the “Urait. Exams” service to support end-of-year examination session, which will be held online in 2020. In May and June 2020, the service is free of charge for all universities and colleges in the region.
Now, the teachers have an opportunity to conduct current and final assessments in courses of secondary vocational and higher professional education. The service allows analysing digital activity of students on the platform and conducting final assessments with the help of modern technologies. Teachers and administrators can also use exam (test) record lists, which are available on the platform.
