Strengthening educational cooperation with Spain

On 30 October, the Rector of Voronezh State University Dmitry Endovitsky signed an agreement on the implementation of the academic programme "Business relations with Russia: political, cultural and economic studies of Russian market" («Diploma de Postgrado en "Estudios Culturales, Económicos e Históricos de Rusia»).

Among the participants of the programme are Voronezh State Universitythe University of San Carlos (Madrid, Spain), and Liceus education centre (Madrid, Spain). The programme is offered in a full-time and off-campus mode. It starts in February 2016.

The programme is intended for Spanish speaking students and is aimed at creating a comprehensive vision of the Russian Federation: its population, history and ethnography, economics and politics, culture and science, ecology and geography, law and religion, language and literature, traditions and values. The graduates of the programme will have the knowledge and the skills needed for their future career that will be connected with Russia in some way: trade and economic cooperation, bilateral and multilateral communication, tourism, various research, academic, information and culture exchanges.

On the Russian part the programme will be implemented by the academic staff of the Faculty of International Relations – the Department of Regional Studies and International Economies and the International Education Institute.

The programme comprises of three consecutive modules that are dedicated to various aspects of the past and the present of Russia and a course of the Russian language as a foreign language. The courses within the programme were developed in accordance with ECTS. The students that do the programme have practical classes in the Russian Federation and write a qualification paper. The programme, 60 credits, is in Russian and Spanish. To enrol to the programme applicants should have a diploma of the higher education (Bachelor's degree or higher), should speak Spanish and Russian (A1 or higher).

The programme graduates receive:

  • a standard diploma of professional retraining issued by Voronezh State University,
  • a Russian language state test certificate of the Russian Federation (the certificates are recognised by ALTE – the Association of Language Testers in Europe), and
  • a standard master's degree diploma issued by the University of San Carlos.
