VSU participates in the world IT exhibition CeBIT

Between 16th and 20th March, the world IT exhibition CeBIT was held in Hanover where Voronezh State University was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences Eduard Algazinov. The trip was organised by the VSU Department of Innovations and Enterprise Management.

The exhibition presented about 6000 exhibits by IT developers, including Microsoft, Apple, and SAP. CeBIT platform with the audience of about half a million people became an international centre for sharing IT experience.

Voronezh State University was presented in one of the 30 exhibition showrooms – "Innovations and research". The Faculty of Physics, the Faculty of Computer Sciences and the Regional Scientific Library of Voronezh State University presented 8 projects. They were dedicated to different fields, such as medicine, information technologies, including image super-resolution technologies, Regional Scientific Library server hardware, digital watermarks for copyright protection, radioelectronic and location devices using ultra-short impulse signals and others.

'German Technology Transfer centre and the exhibition organisers – International Union of Instrument & ITT Engineers – got interested in our projects,' said Eduard Konstantinovich.

The most attention was paid to the projects that had been most actively developed in recent years: cloud technologies, mobile applications, artificial intelligence systems, social services and medicine.
