On 30th March, IV Coordination Meeting within the framework of Tempus project "European and International Law Master programme Development in Eastern Europe" (InterEULawEast) was held at the Higher School of Social Technologies in Riga, Latvia.
VSU was represented at the Meeting by Alla Akulshina, Director of International Project and Programme Centre, Professor Pavel Biryukov, Head of the Department of International and European Law, and Associate Professor Dmitry Galushko.
Among the participants of the Meeting were the representatives of partner universities participating in the project - the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the Higher School of Social Technologies (Latvia), Voronezh State University (Russia), Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University (Russia), Tyumen State University (Russia), the National University "Odesa Academy of Law" (Ukraine), and Donetsk National University (Ukraine).
The coordinator of the project, Professor Hana Horak of the University of Zagreb, analysed the progress of the project implementation. The participants shared their views on the measures already taken, and pointed out the high degree of cooperation between the partners. Further steps within the InterEULawEast project were discussed.
Professor Pavel Biryukov also gave a lecture on the international and legal aspects of the intellectual property protection to the 1st year master's degree students of the Baltic International Academy in Riga.
