On 4–8 July, the Molgorod annual educational youth forum was held at Vostok–4 children's holiday camp. One of the fifteen platforms of the forum was Creative Science arts and sciences platform organized by a team of young scholars from Voronezh State University. Coordinators of the platform were Dmitriy Koyuda and Anna Eliseeva.
That was the first time this platform was presented at Molgorod, and it was able to contribute significantly to the work of the forum. The organizers set all platform coordinators a challenging task: to present a regional project based on the results of the four-day work. Dmitriy and Anna started from their successful popular science course called Entertaining Science and suggested that this experience be used by the platform participants for organizing science workshops for 5–7-year school students. The platform participants were young teachers from the schools of Voronezh and the Voronezh Region, as well as students enrolled in science programmes at local universities.
Their work resulted in the development of new workshops for secondary school students, as well as courses for high school students. Starting in the autumn of 2015, the Entertaining Science project organizers are planning to start it in Buturlinovka, Borisoglebsk, and Khokhol districts. At the Molgorod forum itself, the project was presented to the expert community and received a grant for its implementation in the region. Thirty thousand roubles (the maximum possible grant) will be provided by a long-term partner of the forum – Grazhdanskoye Sobranie Lider Voronezh Regional Non-Governmental Organisation.
An event particularly important for the platform was the presentation of the projects to the VIP guests of the forum: Deputy Director of the Rosmolodezh Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugaev, Head of the Department of Education, Science, and Youth Policy of the Voronezh Region Oleg Mosolov, Head of Grazhdanskoye Sobranie Lider Voronezh Regional Non-Governmental Organisation Boris Nesterov, Director of the Voronezh branch of OAO Rostelekom Alexey Kamyshev, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Voronezh Region Vladimir Kadurin, and Deputy Mayor of Voronezh for Social Development Nadezhda Savitskaya. The guests took an active part in a cryophysics workshop, learned the details of project development, and were presented with original Creative Science badges as mementos.
An important event of the forum was Science Day, celebrated for the first time in the history of Molgorod and organized at the Creative Science platform. There were a number of activity zones free for anyone to attend, including an additive technology workshop (3D printer, 3D scanner, 3D pen), a zone of robots and quadrocopters, and a zone of physical and chemical experiments. Another platform was a zone of microscopic objects where anyone could examine various preparations under the microscope. One of the most frequented zones was the one organized by the Atomic Energy Information Centre. A popular game was the "What? Where? When?" quiz also supported by the Atomic Energy Information Centre. The operation of the other zones was made possible by the support of the EFKO Group and through the direct involvement of the Regional Centre of the Students' Technical Creativity, the Robototechnika Robotics Technology Studio experimental technical school, Additive Technology Centre, as well as the staff of the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Physics, and the Faculty of Applied Mathematica and Mechanics of Voronezh State University. At the end of Science Day, the Creative Science team organized an impressive science show, demonstrating the beauty and uniqueness of the experiments with low temperatures and open fire to the Molgorod audience.
