On 6 October, the international scientific and practical conference “Contemporary Issues of International and Eurasian Justice” was held at the Faculty of Law of Voronezh State University. It was organised by VSU in cooperation with the Court of Eurasian Economic Union.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Head of the Department of Administrative and Administrative Procedure Law, Professor Yury Starilov. He welcomed the visitors, colleagues, and students and introduced the presidium members – the chairperson of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union, Alexander Fedortsev, Vice Rector, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, and the Head of the Department of History of Philosophy, Yury Bubnov, and the Head of the Department of the Theory of State and Law, International Law, and Comparative Legal Studies, Pavel Birukov.
The welcoming speech was followed by the presentation by the chairperson of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union, Alexander Fedortsev, who talked about the first stage in creation and the development of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union.
The participants of the conference also discussed the tendency to expand jurisdictions of international courts (by the example of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union), the human rights “standards” of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union in relation to universal human rights attitudes, the peculiarities of intellectual property protection in Court of Eurasian Economic Union, judicial legislation, and other problems.
