Our researcher at an international congress in Poland

Between 7 and 10 November, III international congress “The Russian Revolution and its Legacy” was held in Krakow (Poland) by the Institute of Russian and East European Studies of Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

The participants of the congress – researchers from Russian and Polish research centres – discussed the role which the Russian Revolution played in shaping the lives of the USSR nations and the rest of the world both in the internal and external dimensions. They also focused on the positive outcomes of the Revolution and its benefits for such spheres as economy, international relations, culture, social and religious life and in the process of shaping political systems.

Our university was represented by Roman Savenkov, Associate professor at the Department of Sociology and Politology of the Faculty of History, who gave a talk on “The Role of the Russian Revolution in the Political Processes in Modern Russia”.
