A student’s film awarded with a prize at an international TV festival

A documentary “Reading habits at the Faculty of Journalism” by a fourth year student of VSU Alina Belokopytova was awarded an honorary diploma at the IX Moscow international TV festival “Profession: Journalist”. The project was supervised by Valeria Kolesnikova, lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism. She also performed as the director and producer of the film presented at the competition.

The film has two parts. The first one is called “My favourite book” Here people talk about the books which influenced them most and which they will never forget. The participants also talk about the book they are reading at the moment, and comment upon the most interesting and impressive parts. The creators of the film ask the following questions: Why do we read? What for? And the participants give the answer. They talk about the place of books in the life of any intelligent person, and the life of a professional journalist in particular.
