At the end of October, the Head of the Department of French Philology, Elena Alexeyeva, paid a visit to the University of Marne-la-Vallée where she gave a lecture for master’s students. The visit was organised within an Erasmus+ academic mobility programme between Voronezh State University and the French university.
The University of Marne-la-Vallée is a long-standing partner of VSU. For example, the universities have concluded an agreement on a double-degree programme which has been successfully implemented for over ten years. During her visit, Elena Alexeyeva also had meetings with the Head of the master’s programme, Natalie Fabry, and the Head of International Relations office, Camille Dulour. The parties discussed the academic performance of the VSU students studying with the programme “Tourism Management” and the prospects for further cooperation between the universities in the area of research.
Elena Alexeyeva also visited Lille where she had been invited by the administration of the University of Lille, one of the largest universities in Europe (about 79 thousand students) and another partner of Voronezh State University. Elena Alexeyeva took part in negotiations with the Vice-president of the university, Francois-Olivier Seys, the Head of the international office, Veronique Level, and the Head and staff of the Faculty of Applied Foreign Languages.
The French colleagues demonstrated their interest in an even more extended development of the existing cooperation between the universities. They outlined plans for the development of joint academic programmes.
