On 12 November, at the centenary anniversary of the first lessons at Voronezh State University, students and staff gathered at the entrance hall of the Main Building to lay flowers.
The event started with the welcoming speech by Oleg Grishayev, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Social Development. The Rector of the University, Dmitry Endovitsky, congratulated the audience with the beginning of the second century of VSU work and pointed out the enormous impact the university has had on the Voronezh region and Russia as a whole. The chairperson of the Joint Students' Board of VSU, Maria Rusanova, also gave a speech.
The students and staff at three university buildings (the main building, the new building of the Faculty of Economics and the building of the Faculty of Law) were treated with a dessert.
