Prospective students from Kazakhstan express their interest in our university

The 19th Kazakhstan international exhibition "Education and Career" concluded in Almaty in the Atakent exhibition centre. Voronezh State University as usual took part in the event.

This year, over 80 educational institutions from 13 countries (Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Italy, India, China, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Singapore, the USA, and the Czech Republic) presented their stands at the exhibition. They told the visitors about the systems of education in different countries and about the training programmes at their universities.

Among the participants of the opening ceremony were representatives of the Department of Education of Akimat of Almaty, representatives of embassies and consulates in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and rectors of leading universities. They also gave a welcoming speech to the audience. The consul of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Almaty division of Rossotrudnichestvo, Irina Pereverzeva (VSU graduate), and the Rector of Voronezh State University, Dmitry Endovitsky, also addressed the audience. The Rector of VSU told the visitors about the training at the university and stressed the importance of the event for future students and specialists who have a chance to learn at a single location and in a few days about systems of education of different countries and chose the best one for themselves. Irina Pereverzeva emphasised the role that VSU played in her life.

The three-day programme of the exhibition included workshops, master classes, and presentations. Dmitry Endovitsky gave a presentation about VSU and told the audience about the international activities of the university.

Participation in this major event brought new partners to Voronezh State University which signed a cooperation agreement with the Almaty Photography Studies College. Educational programmes were also presented in lyceums and schools of Almaty, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Semei.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan international education exhibition is very advantageous for VSU. Among international students who study at VSU there are 146 students from different cities of Kazakhstan – Almaty, Karaganda, Astana, Kostanai, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, and others.
