Meetings at Buddy Club VSU

Every term, international students from all over the world come to study at Voronezh State University. Most of them are visiting Russia and Voronezh for the first time. In the first term of the 2019–2020 academic year, students from Turkey, Spain, China, Vietnam, Kirghizia, Estonia, and France came to study at VSU.

On 27 September, a welcoming party for interns was held so that Russian and international students could meet each other in a relaxing atmosphere.

The long-awaited “Language tandem” took place on 26 October. It was held at the “Shu and Shen” tea house. VSU students met the representatives from Uzbekistan, Estonia, Vietnam, Jordan, France, Turkey, and China. Language school IH Voronezh-Linguist held an exciting quiz dedicated to the Russian language.

On 6 November, international students talked about the art of their countries and presented their own works at a literature and music meeting “Music and poetry do not need translation”.

On 16 November, “Buddy” volunteers organised an event called “International cuisine”. International students brought their national dishes: Uzbek and Azerbaijanian pilaf, delicious pakhlava, dolma, Armenian cheese flat cake, stuffed peppers from Turkey, Chinese crystal dumplings, and other dishes. Russian students did not stand idle and made pelmeni, pancakes, dressed herring, syrniki, and a coulibiac for our interns.
