On 2 March, VSU held an interregional tournament, Voronezh School Cup "What? When? Where?”. The tournament was organised with the support of the Department of Education and Youth Policy of the Voronezh Government and Saint Mitrophan gymnasium. The aim of the tournament was to promote intellectual games among young people, develop their interest in learning, develop their cognitive skills and quick-wittedness, as well as general knowledge, encourage teamwork and form a positive attitude to the values of the Russian society.
There were over 300 participants divided into 27 teams. Each team was to answer 45 questions. The tournament included 3 rounds with 15 questions in each. It was held in accordance with the rules of the game "What? When? Where?” and the Code of the International Association of Clubs of the sport version of the game. During the breaks between the rounds, the participants and their coaches could visit an exhibition of science fiction made by the department of natural sciences and technical literature of Nikitin Regional Scientific Library, a partner of the event.
The first place was taken by a team “Klyukva” from Voronezh, a Lipetsk team “Neumestnye shutki” was second, and yet another team from Lipetsk, “Metamorphosy”, was third. One point behind was a Voronezh team “Erudity”.
The winning teams were awarded trophies and sweets.
