The results of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation grant contest for Master’s programmes’ lecturers from 75 leading Russian universities were concluded. The contest has four nominations: new Master’s programme, new course, new online course, and new learning methods and technologies.

This year 881 applications from 72 universities were submitted for the contest. As a result of technical examination 820 of them were selected for the expert examination. 100 people became the winners of the contest and 5 lecturers were included into a reserve list. Among the winners are representatives of Voronezh State University: Associate Professor at the Faculty of International Relations, Sofia Dmitrieva, and Associate Professors from the Faculty of Journalism, Andreyi Zolotukhin and Ekaterina Kurganova.

The most popular nomination this year was “New course / new courses” (419 applications). Also, there were a lot of partner and network projects, including international.

“Grant contest is an important item in the lecturer’s CV. First of all, it shows that he or she is a professional who is interested in their self-development.  For them, the opportunity to take part in a contest is a means to professional and personal development. They value teamwork and are ready to take responsibility. Our winners are familiar with Russian and international academic environment and are ready to take the role of ambassadors of the Russian education system. I am sure that they will make a significant contribution into the development of Master’s programmes in Russia and thanks to the support of the foundation 100 more lecturers will get a chance to make their ideas a reality. I wish them good luck,” said the General Director if the foundation, Oxana Oracheva.

The winners of the contest will get a grant for up to 500 thousand roubles.
