Between 14 and 19 May, the 27th festival "Russian Students' Spring” was held by the Russian Youth Union in Perm. The participants were 3,000 students from all over Russia who had been selected following the results of 75 regional competitions in 7 genres: music, dancing, theatre, special genres, journalism, video, and regional programmes.
Over 1,000 projects and performances were presented at the festival. The programme also included master classes and artistic workshops, where members of the jury shared their experience with the students.
Among the participants there were students from Voronezh universities. Their projects and performances were highly praised by the jury. The Voronezh team included students from Voronezh State University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh branch of Plekhanov's Russian Economic University, and Voronezh State Pedagogical University.
The best students were awarded with a special prize from a Russian director, Feliks Mikhailov: a two-week internship at the “Leningrad Centre” theatre. Feliks Mikhailov selected the 4 best regional programmes and gave awards to their directors: a student from Perm, a student from Yamal, and two students from Voronezh (VSU), Natalia Mokrousova and Vladimir Abadzhyan.
