Between 14 and 15 September, the festival “Autumn parade of flowers 2019” took place in the Professor Kozo-Polyansky Botanical Garden.
For two weeks, the guests of the Botanical garden could take part in guided tours around its collection sites and taste nuts, honey, and herbal tea. The programme of the festival also included useful master-classes. Landscape designer, Natalia Kiseleva, held two practical classes: “How to choose the right hydrangea for your garden?” and “Will lavender grow in the garden?” Landscape designer, Ivan Gordienko, shared his knowledge about coniferous and ornamental species.
Entomologist, Sergey Bykovsky, gave a talk about “Insects which pretend to be plants”, and the Head of the Centre of Ecological Farming “Chernozem BIO”, Maxim Lykov, told the audience about microbiological preparations that can be used in a garden.
The guests also enjoyed thematic photo zones that were open for everyone for two days.
