Students from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology practice interpreting with native speakers from the USA

On 16 November, native speakers from the USA, Paulina Anderson-Dinitz, Sharon Dinitz, Ken Dinitz, and Paul Lambe, held interpreting classes for fifth year students. The online meeting was conducted as a press-conference.

“Such classes are a wonderful opportunity to both communicate with a native speaker of a foreign language and to practice interpreting. These skills will be very useful in our future career. Such lessons help you spot the weaknesses you need to work on and teach you to quickly adapt to new circumstances”, said Vasilisa Korotkova.

“Online classes are a very valuable interpreting experience. I absolutely loved Paulina’s pronunciation! Such meetings encourage you to further develop your skills”, said Viktoria Kotelevskaya.

Students will have a chance to take part in a series of similar meetings in the future.
