University scientists publish a text book which can help detect fake information

Professor Iosif Sternin from the Department of Philology and Professor Alla Shesterina from the Faculty of Journalism have published their book “Markers of fake information in media texts”. The test book provides recommendations on how to detect fake information in different types of media. It also shows how diverse it can be and describes different types of disinformation and principles of media hygiene.

The publication summarises the results of joint work between scientists and students completing the special Forensic Linguistics programme. The book is aimed at a broad audience, however, it primarily addresses specialists in the area of forensic linguistics and journalists who are committed to creating high-quality media texts.
