The results of the European Erasmus+ project contest are announced

1,447 applications were submitted for the project contest as part of the subprogram for European research named after J. Monnet in 2020. 360 projects were accepted. Russian research groups received grants for 22 projects, including 15 educational modules, 5 research projects, 1 Department, and 1 Cutting-Edge Research Centre.

Voronezh State University received grants for 2 projects: A research project in the field of international law, head researcher – Dmitry Galushko (Faculty of Law), and a project for setting up a Cutting-Edge Research Centre “Russia – EU: facts and fantasy”, head researcher – Alla Akulshina, the head of the Centre for EU studies, head of the International Relations Office.

The project for setting up a Cutting-Edge Research Centre was developed by the International Relations Office together with the Department of History of Philosophy and Culture (head of the department – Dmitry Kukarnikov) and the Department of Regional Studies (acting for the head of department – Natalia Zhurbina). This project is aimed at supporting the activities of the Centre of EU Studies which was established in October 2019, during the visit of the EU Ambassador Markus Ederer to Voronezh.

The VSU project was the only Russian application to set up a Cutting-Edge Research Centre to have received a grant in this contest. The pass mark was 89 for research projects and 85 for other projects. The projects submitted by the VSU research groups scored 91 and 93 out of 100.
